I am a triple Gemini, born in Lisbon, Portugal now an American by adoption. Here is my chart reflecting the position of the planets at the moment of birth.
I came to astrology after encountering the teachings of Carl Jung while progressing through a BA in Psychology. In 1971, as transiting Uranus came to a conjunction to natal Neptune, I purchased my first Jung book. That purchase was the beginning of the path that led me to astrology. It was a convoluted path that included a MBA in International Business, the exploration of different careers. Astrology was always a big part of who I am, guiding me through this wonderful journey that has been my life.
In 2000 I could finally devote my full time attention to Astrology. I studied AstroPsychology with Glenn Perry and then graduated from the International Academy of Astrology where I was an instructor of The Archetypes of the Zodiac. I have also completed the Counseling Skills Seminar offered by ISAR and successfully passed the NCGR-PAA Level IV Professional Consulting Astrologer exam. I have now become Clerk of the Board of this organization and hope through my work to promote the interests and education of professional astrologers. I am a member of ISAR – International Society for Astrological Research and of NCGR – National Council for Geocosmic Research. I subscribe to their Code of Ethics that include confidentiality about communication between client and astrologer.
Nowadays, I split my time between Rome, Italy and Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Two beautiful places where I conduct astrological consultations in person with local clients and wherever I am, can hold sessions by phone and Skype. I have clients all over the world and communicate in English, Portuguese, French, Italian and even Spanglish. Once a year I go London and Lisbon for in person consultations.
In Rome I initiated the study of the Tarot of Marseille under the guidance of Carlo Bozelli of the Accademia di Tarocchi. During astrological consultations, I now use the Tarot for illuminating very specific questions.
At the Cape I tend to the astrological garden that I have created in my backyard. Please take a look at the structures of my astro garden. All the symbols of the Zodiac are present in a useful or decorative way. The basic meaning of the signs is taken into consideration when choosing the purpose, the colors and the materials for the structures
Whether travelling or home I practice Qigong, a traditional Chinese art that encompasses breath, movement and intention. I follow the teachings of Master Hong Liu that are rooted in the deep belief that we can heal ourselves through working our vital energy, our Qi. The balance of mental and physical energy, the balance between yang and yin that I strive to achieve with the practice of Qigong, helps me being centered for my clients.
